Arnold Home Helper has been a trusted handyman service in Norfolk for 2 years. Starting the company from the ground up by its owner, Douglas Arnold, he has built his business on predominantly all referral and repeat business. We are currently a small company with 3 employees and are looking to grow!

 

We are looking for a reliable handyman that has solid experience with a variety of maintenance type duties!

 

The types of work we do varies greatly on our clients needs and our team’s expertise, but currently include the following. Experience in many or all items preferred.

 

Tile Floor and Wall (Kitchen and Bath)

Drywall Repair

Wall Painting (includes sanding/prime)

Fence Installation and Repair

Plumbing

Minor Electrical

Renovation Work

Roof Repairs (not full installation)

Install/Replace Interior and Exterior Fixtures

Power Washing

 

Technical knowledge and skills are important to a Handyman’s tool bag. You must be well-organized with strong general repair skills. A keen eye for detail and an eagerness to do a stellar job are valued greatly in this position!

 

Requirements:

Proven experience as a handyman or similar trade experience

Ability to assess potential issues and problem solve

Must clean up after themselves at jobs

Basic math skills required

Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation required

Must be available some weekends

Having your own tools preferred!

 

Additional Details

Full Time positions available

Pay rate competitive and based on experience ($15+)

Most projects in the Ghent (Norfolk) area

Must be willing to download Timesheets software (phone app)

Background check required
